|
|
|
For those ladies who are truly Southern Belles at heart, we would like to welcome you to join us for the opportunity to be debutants of the Ole South; spoil yourselves by putting on period gowns and partaking in a time of pure elegance. Gentlemen will turn their heads with a look that will remind you of Rhett Butler in his sophisticated roguish ways. You’ll become enchanted by the elegance, class, and prestige of this timeless era. Of course, your gentlemen friends and/or escorts are certainly invited, as well.
In cooperation with
Gone With The Wind Memories of Plant City, The Red Rose Inn and Suites will be
hosting a Gone With The Wind Extravaganza, including a Southern Delight Buffet and Costume Ball on
Saturday, October 7, 2006.
This special event will be in celebration of the 70th Anniversary of
the publication of Margaret Mitchell’s Pulitzer Prize Winning Novel, GONE WITH
THE WIND. The event will feature
three of the original cast members of the movie Gone With The Wind which was
filmed in 1939. They are Cammie King Conlon (Bonnie Blue Butler), Mickey Kuhn
(Ashley’s son, Beau Wilkes, Age 7) and Patrick Curtis (Beau Wilkes, After the
War). The Ball will also feature the music of the 97th Regimental
String Band. The cost of the Dinner and Ball is only $29.95 (plus tax and
gratuity per person), and will feature a buffet dinner, dancing, interaction
with the Gone With The Wind celebrities, and autograph signings. Costumes are
welcomed and encouraged, but are not required to join in the festivities.
It will be an evening of breathtaking costumes, exquisite cuisine, and you will be given the opportunity to step back into a time of the Ole South that will never be forgotten. Please call the Red Rose Inn and Suites for more information and to make your reservations today at 813-752-3141. We look forward to seeing you as you join us in celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the greatest novel of all time!
